You may and equire, if you wish; but otherwise wait for any communication from the department. Generally, it gets processed by routine, if no discrepancy found.
Thanks Dhirajlal for a quick response.
So what is the routine timeline for such cases?
No time bar, depends upon work load as its manually checked. Any follow up by your Tax Consultant may expedite the process.
Hello Dhirajlal Sir,
CPC replied "Rectification Rights Transferred to Jurisdictional Assessing Officer" on 9/9/2015 for AY 2014-15, it's more than 1.4 years now and i received the initimation regarding the demand of outstanding amount due to my mistake (Wrongly mentioned Gross Total income and uploaded ITR). I have replied today wih my case details with Form 16 as attachment. My concern is Do i really need to visit AO physically or they do correct th records based on evidence I provided (Any time frame)
Thanks For any Help.
@ Ashwani Singh: It is difficult to answer exactly without getting full details about the file, but in general follow up is needed when the process is manual. Secondly never keep anything pending from our end, and send reminders periodically. E-nivaran can also be useful.
Thanks for Quick reponse.
I have filed ITR for AY 2014-15 in the month of april,2015 and by mistake filled the wrong figure in gross income due to which taxable income got increased and same with the tax amoun as well. I filed for rectification and CPC replied on 09/09/2015 that "rectification rights transferred to ast" and since then no update from AO and demand is still showing outstanding balance. My ward is showing as WARD 1(5) GURGAON but i am staying here in Mumbai and not possible for me to follow up physically with them. Please let me know if it is possible to send the application via post/courier alongwith supporting evidences (Form 16, Pay slips etc). If not can i meet the AO here in mumbai.
As per your suggestion i have filed for E-grievance with form 16 as an attachment.
Kindly help me in this matter as i am a senior citizen of 75 years age.
One of our party had deducted TDS on rent for F.Y. 2019-20 Rs. 9,24,000 but deposited the same on 04.03.2022.
The CPC raised demand Rs. 9,24,000 and adjusted with our income tax refund for F Y 2019-20
I also submit rectification request but there is no reply.
what should we do next in this matter.
Thanks & Regards
